My name is Austin Picinich and I’m a 17-year-old acrylic painter merging realism with my imagination. I’ve been an artist since the age of seven, and I love using bright colors that pop. I took my passion to the next level by tackling large-sized paintings and murals. I am the founder & artist of the nationally-awarded Save Our Salmon Mural Initiative - and I’ve painted a 112-foot Save Our Salmon Mural in Kirkland, WA and a 188-foot mural in Lake Forest Park, WA. One of my biggest paintings on canvas is a 12-foot tropical triptych, although prints of my paintings are available at many sizes. To date, my art is hung or carried in 41 local Puget Sound area businesses, retail shops, and galleries. I am based out of Kirkland, WA and I’ve participated in 33 Western Washington art fairs and festivals - and I enjoy the business side as much as the painting itself.

I painted and led a 112-foot “Save Our Salmon Mural” at Juanita Beach Park in Kirkland, WA to raise awareness for salmon restoration in Juanita Creek.

📍Animal Acres Park - Lake Forest Park, WA

A second, 188-foot “Save Our Salmon Mural” at in Lake Forest Park, WA above the stream culvert of McAleer Creek.
